Have used these for warranty repairs as there usually very good. Unfortunately not this time. Astra 2016. Was recalled for a brake or clutch fault. Few items changed and gearbox had to be removed. From receiving car back there was a rattling noise which sounded like the concentric slave cylinder. It was only slight so I left it for a week or 2. I called explaining there was a noise since the gearbox was removed and they said I would have to pay 95.00 diagnostic as the car was out of warranty. I decided to leave it. In December while on the motorway I lost all drive to my car. I managed to pull over and lying in a puddle in the rain checked my car over. Nothing could be seen. No oil leaks no snapped shafts nothing. I paid to get my car recovered to my garage as I’m a mechanic. I stripped the gearbox out to find what was wrong. The clutch pressure plate had shattered. The centre ripped out. There was dents all over it where the previous gear box removal had caused the rattle. Looks like 1 man has struggled to centre the pressure plate and lift the gearbox in. The plate looks like it’s been rammed numerous times with the spigot shaft. Not only this the left upper dowel on the gearbox was compliantly squashed. I was shocked. I have replaced the clutch kit including the concentrical slave cylinder you only just replaced and the dual mass flywheel. Now months later I have sold my car. I have bought a Vw golf Gtd. I have had 5 brand new cars from Vauxhall over the last 12 years as I used to work for you. I am only writing this now because it keeps annoying me. I have only left it this long as I know someone who works there and feel I might let him down. Discussed and out of pocket. I was going to buy the new corsa electric next. Not now.

I personally think that the person whom I spoke to was rude his customer service skills need brushing up. I wanted some advice, I asked my first question and thought I will go somewhere else after his response. If this how a loyal customer is treated then I won't be coming back here. Furthermore I got my job done at a backstreet Garage far cheaper and quicker than quoted from Pentagon.

You pay more if you go to the main dealers for parts I like to do this as you get the right parts that last longer , They know all about your car working parts and have good understanding of your car , I alleyways enjoy my visits
